I just bought a Rockola M1 with high wood and I cut stock. It has a barrel stamped with a small w. I know Rockola made barrels but is it possible that it may have been installed from the factory or just a rebuild? I have read that contractors used parts in a helter skelter fashion so I am wondering what happened here. The barrels itself has a M14 type flash suppressor mounted on it, which actually looks pretty cool. Thanks in advance.

Your barrel is a replacement. Most likely changed when your carbine was rebuilt and updated. Rock-Ola made barrels more then enough for their own use as well as to other carbine makers.
