I have a Npm carbine serial number 4081xxx pretty much all org, Marlin barrel undated, but my question is the front sight looks to be a Winchester type it has the thumbnail cut out, no other marks on it it's never been off the barrel by the looks of it, nice patina ,and the rear sight seems to be a Winchester also it had the Square S and no other marks on either side, and it has chisel marks on right side, no dimples, and looks like it's been on there from the beginning also nice patina.. This carbine has hi wood and is mark with the NPM overFJA in box and a cross cannon car touches , has Trimble and TN in sling well hand guard is also marked wit TN. I know trying to found out about these things can be quite hard, but I thought I would ask anyway . Thanks in advance..
Ps I can send pics by email if that would help, just send your email to me.. Again thanks. John

Sent you an email. BTW, I'm looking around for the info you mentioned, but nothing so far.

The "thumbnail" cut out is just a machining variance and not an indicator of who made or used the front sight.
