I have an SG bolt with a bell-shaped marking. Any ideas on the significance of this marking?

It was once on a carbine in Europe and if I remember right it is a Dutch stamp.

The mark identifies the sub-contractor that supplied the bolt forging to Saginaw Gear.

Would that be Federal Drop Forge Co. as listed in War Baby?

Brian, I understood that the bell shape was an stamp from carbine used by the Dutch. Now that is from years ago and if it's been found to be wrong then which sub contractor would be the supplier?

If someone told you it was a Dutch marking they either lied to you or didn't know what they were talking about. I suspect the latter.
