Hello all. Just traded for a NPM, all original except the stock, which is Winchester. I do have a high wood NPM stock which is original, but rough.Wondering if either would be right if I decided to do something about the stock. Serial # is 41954xx. Real close to when low wood stocks started coming around. Figured it would be easier to find a low wood NPM stock if I went that route! Thanks everyone!

think you could go either way, Jan 44 would have been the transition date from high to low and your serial puts it right there.

Did end up with a high wood stock, which I am sure this one had originally. Only reason I say that, is there is a "stain", for lack of a better word, on the arm of the slide which matches perfectly with a high wood stock. Ended up better than expected, and finally have a NPM.
