I just purchased a second generation paratrooper stock and want to fill it up with an Inland. What serial number range would be correct and what would be the proper barrel date range. Thanks in advance

Time wise from May 1944 to the end of production of the M1A1 which was December 1944. Serial number wise from about the mid 5.1 million to about 6.5 million range. Now at the start of production in May and who knows for how long, Inland use the original type stock before switching over to the low wood stock.

Tuna, that's interesting about the high wood stocks early in the second run. Is there no indication whether the switchover occurred within weeks of the start of production or after several months?
