Friend whom I bought the tin of ammo from also has a Winchester Garand, SN 2,4xx,xxx. Looks like the original barrel (no date stamps or markings except for some random numbers here and there) He's had it since the mid 60's and got it from an old WWII vet. Interested in it's worth. I know pic's would help and could get them if needed.
Not enough info to give a good estimate of value. A matched barrel and receiver is a good start but without knowing what other parts are on the rifle, the price can vary widely. As a mix master, 900 on up depending on the other parts.
