While perusing the Kahr/Auto Ordnance site, it came to my attention that they have the following products available as we speak:

a) 30 round magazines, and

b) "jungle clips" that hold two .30 round magazines together.

This is good news for those that want to have some "full capacity" capabilities when "the fecal matter impacts the air motivator". I don't know about anyone else, but it seems as if these are a darned good thing to have when the entire world seems to be "going sideways".

This does make sense, doesn't it?

I won't speak of AO made magazines but the best ones available are the ones made in South Korea. They are as good as the original USGI magazines and a lot cheaper then the other after market ones.
30 round can be found for under $15 and 15 round for $10.

This sounds very, very good to me! I certainly hope that I have some decent options to me when I buy my M1 Carbine.

Thanks, Tuna.

BTW, jungle clips were never a GI item. The extra weight of two loaded mags can rip the nubs off the mags from recoil. Not a good situation if the feces hits the air motivater....

Good to know. A 30 round magazine loaded with either PPU or Hornady FTX should suffice. (2 extra 30 round magazines in a stock pouch should provide excellent backup!

Works for me!

I am probably wrong. I thought the pouches carried at least two M2 (30 round) magazines. Evidently they must carry two 15-round magazines.

My mistake.

They are actually belt pouches that just happen to slip over the carbine stock and yes, they hold 15 round mags.

Tuna in your above comment you mention South Korean mags. Where are you finding them? I've had collection of 10 USGI mags since 1972 when I got my Inland. I've had to replaced the springs with Wolfs one or twice since then but they are ready for another overhaul. These are showing a lot of ware and tare so it time to get some replacements.

Not Tuna, but these are what he was talking about. For sale a lot of places. Aim usually has good prices. Haven't bought any in the last couple of years but have been pleased with the ones I have. The Korean thirty round magazines work well also. Mine are marked "UU".
