Here is a rough chart I made that identifies most manufacturers markings on USGI M1/M2 carbine magazines. Type 1 and 2 are the standard 15 round magazines, type 3 and 4 are the 30 round variations. There may be some errors, but it is correct to the best of my knowledge.

My slide has what appears to be two "U" marks together like a "W". Then numbers 1509014 I think. Looks like something inside the slide but I can't make it out. Any idea?

What is the diff between a type 1 and a type 2 mag?

Type 1 has a flat floorplate, Type 2 has a ribbed floorplate.

Whats all under Misc.? Just unknown GI manufacturers or other manufacturers

SK was Keeler Brass for Standard. Are you sure of the BC marking? RC perhaps?

Mark, thank you, i looked, the two RC markings were a bit different and I thought one was a BC, looked again with my magnifier.

Thanks one of my Mags is a type 2 standard prod. and the other ones misc. type 1 (U). Would the U be a Universal?

The symbol is a combined JLC (J.L. Clark Mfg. Co Rockford, Ill.) for B (IBM).
