Looking for help finding it's origin, age, etc.

From poking around the web, my carbine is likely a reproduction.
Auto Ordnance
Worcester, MA
Serial # MA01xx (on the left side just behind the chamber)
round bolt
Single recoil spring
Wood stock with perforated metal top
Bayonet lug
Lever safety
What appears to be a machined sight with numbered markings.
All stampings are clear and easy to read.

Thank you in advance

Yup! Its a repop. It appears to bean early one, so don't be surprised if you have problems. Many of the early ones did.

Hi and welcome to the M1 Carbine Forum from New Mexico!

Perhaps you have already run across this web site on commercial carbines. If not, check it out.

You must be logged in to see this link.

It might answer many of your questions. At least, as Jimb16 says, it's an early model, probably introduced in 2004.

Thanks to all.
After a severe cleaning, function was good as was accuracy at short range. After a bit, the bolt wasn't going back into battery, needing a gentle push. With no magazine, the bolt movement seemed as it should. New magazines on the way.
Stay tuned.
