CC NL 366-3 says some flip sights on Standard Products were staked "with a center punch type device." How can those stake marks be distinguished from those for an adjustable sight?

They are not as deep as those for an adjustable rear sight and the adjustable rear sight is staked a bit further down along the dove tail and not at the end.

Those do not appear to be deep at all. I would say they would be correct.

They look good to me too. Correct location for punch mark staking of a type 1 sight.

I've seen some early QHMC carbines where the staking was more angled at the base, but still similar looking to this SP.
