Would a type 3 Winchester trigger housing with both a W & O marking be correct for a Winchester 566XXXX serial #?

If the W is on the right side and an O on the left would be typical of Winchester. A type 3 housing is what you need.

Both W and O on right side near each other. W is lightly stamped on angle and O is more pronounced strike.

The O is thought to be an inspection mark. It can be other letters instead of the O too.

Tuna-I have a type 1 Win. with a "5" stamped just forward of the trigger guard on the bottom of the trigger housing. Do you know if this an inspection stamp or what? Thanks

Winchester housings commonly have a number stamped in that location.
