What would be the proper placement of the sling through the buckle, looped in front of the oiler then back around so the end of the sling is on the outside or should the sling end be on the inside? I have seen photos of them being installed both ways.

The direction of the sling on the rear in the first video is how I have it going. The second video has the back of the sling going in the opposite way I like. I like to keep all metal off of the wood when possible.

Thanks for the links to the videos. I guess it's just a preference as to which way it installs.
