They may or may not be a small W in the sling well. Sometimes it's very had to see. There should be some numbers inside where the receiver sits on a ledge most often on the right side. I would say it is an original Winchester stock.
Thanks everyone. I was hoping it was real. I have owned a few carbines but never a Winchester so I was unsure about the stock. The rifle is an early Winchester with the separate spring tube. The rear sight and type 1 band are not original for sure ( they are not even good fakes ). Every other part is Winchester, I just don't know if they are "correct" for the gun. I will post a picture of the complete rifle as soon as I get it assembled.
