I know this is not a good pic but this just came available. Have not had to look at it in person. How much would you spend on it not having a chance to check it out.

General Motors Inland Div. M1 .30 Cal Carbine.

rifle. No Mag. Flip rear sight. No Cartouches. SN# 386352.

At first glance it looks like it could be original. The pictures are not good enough to hazard a price. I am going to guess someone is asking big money for it. The collectors will be interested I would think.

Those pictures are not clear enough or detailed enough to make any kind of meaningful assessment.

I thought it may be worth taking a chance on it. Would you think leaving a $800 bid on it is to riskey.

Hi wood stock? Any markings in sling well? Any signs that it had a type 2/3 barrel band?

Don,t have anymore detail than what we see in picks. I missed it at a local estate auction. Just had a chance at last minute to call in a bid. Did not get a chance to see it in person, thought I would take a gamble! It was to be sold at around 6:00 don,t know if I got it or not. Seems like around here they sell for that much or more.

It was worth that much even if it had some repop parts. I'm not saying that it did, but the basic carbine was worth that much.

Oh well did not get it, sold for $975. Wish I could have been there might have went higher. Looked like a nice carbine from the pics.
