I have a Winchester with a serial number of 1085xxx with a High wood WRA GHD inside the box and I cut for oiler. I'm unsure if that is the right stock for my rifle. I'm also unsure when the rifle may have been built. The barrel has the wp proof but up near the front sight, only a w, no date. Anyone have any ideas?

One of the first thing carbine junkies need is good reference material. Riesch U.S. M1 Carbines wartime production, 7th edition is less then $20 and a must have. War Baby by Ruth is next.
