Winchester and Inland were the only two carbine makers who used the type 3 barrel band during manufacturing of their carbines starting in November 1944. A type 3 band on any other make is a replacement. And as Brian said Winchester never rebuilt carbines. Only Standard Products and Underwood of all the makers had post war contracts to rebuild carbines. All the others were done at the armories.
A Cowles manufactured type 3 band with the C centered with the swivel, 9/64" in size. These are the most sought after type 3 bands for the Winchester and cost in the area of $150. Cowles did make a post war band with the C lower, NOT centered with the swivel and a bit smaller, 7/64" in size. Many try to sell this post war band as a Winchester trying to fool you.
