Ok, went to a local estate sale, and can say I did rather well. Walked out the door, with an Underwood M1, for $300. Here's what I have so far:
Underwood receiver/barrel. Barrel is dated 4-43
M2 Stock - Walnut, Winchester marked
Slide is angled with W in the well
Magazine catch is modified with support arm
Adj. rear sight(stamped) H in shield
Barrel band, type III, marked SI
Serial # 1401xxx

I think I did pretty well, since I was also able to pick up five 15 round magazines for a total of $20 for all five. All five are USGI.

Next time there is an estate sale let me know so I can go with you. That is a fantastic price for a rebuilt Underwood or any USGI carbine for that matter.
