Was at a gun show a couple of weeks ago and a man had a paratrooper stock and said it was a SA replacement stock. Is this true and what would it be worth , if anything. Looking forward to a response , thanks
Hi; SA made replacement stocks. The most common is the M2 Pot Belly stock. It is marked SA on the forward barrel channel. Here is more info; You must be logged in to see this link. GK
Shadycon, Thanks for the response, thank you for the thread . I do know that SA made the pot bellies , especially because I have one leaning in the corner next to my one safe. It has the SA stamp on the left side front . The M1A1 SA replacement just caught me off gaurd a bit, because everything I read and saw was that Inland was the only maker of these stocks. Thanks again
Your right about Inland being the only one who made M1A1 carbines and stocks during the war. SA made replacement stocks and grips as well as other parts post war mostly.
