Iíve been looking for a stock for my Saginaw SG #3512xxx. Right now I have a SA M2 stock because when my grandpa brought it home he didnít bring the stock and the M2 was the stock option I could afford when I was given the rifle. I would like to find one that would be correct for my rifle since it is a WWII bring back. I was told to look for one marked RSG however an Inland stock could still be considered correct. Finally what year is my M1?
No an Inland stock would not be correct for your Saginaw Gear carbine as those were used in early production. Your carbine was made about Feb.1944. The stock most often found in your serial number range would be one marked in the sling well with RSG a type 3 stock with oval cut oiler and with low wood.
